Nano-Infusion
What is Nano-Infusion?
The nano infusion cartridge head uses 81 silicone tips. These microscopic hairlike cones oscillate just like the microneedle cartidge to separate the cells of the skin to drive in the topical product and allow up to 97% product absorption. This allows for the stimulation of collagen production to help with fine lines and wrinkles, a less invasive treatment for acne hyperpigmentation and an overall smoothness and plumping of your skin. Nano needling is safe to use on all skin types as it does not use heat to risks post-inflammatory hyper-pigmentation as the melanocytes remain intact (as long as post care is followed).
Both nano-infusion & micro-needling address the same skincare concerns and they both use a needling pen to create micro-channels in the skin. The main difference between the two is the depth that the needles are able to penetrate into the skin.
Nano-infusion only punctures the first layer of the skin (epidermis) while micro-needling penetrates into the deep dermis.
If you are concerned about fine lines & wrinkles, swelling, dark pigmentation or sagging skin, then nano-needling is for you.
If your skin care concerns include deep wrinkles, hypo-pigmentation, stretch marks or deep acne scars, then micro-needling would be the treatment for that. By creating these micro-channels in the skin, it increases product absorption by 97% and encourages your body to rejuvenate itself.
What does it involve?
A double cleanse is performed with cosmedix products to the entire face, neck and décolletage. We will discuss your skins concerns and choose a specific serum to treat your concern.
The treatment will then begin.
This is performed via circular motions or gridding passes over the treatment area.
A treatment will commonly take 45-60 minutes.
The sensation will be a slight vibration over the entire face. There is no pain with nano-needling
What concerns does it treat?
Nano-infusion can be used in the treatment of:
• Ageing
• Loss of elasticity
• Scarring & acne scarring
• Pigmentation
• Stretch marks
What areas are treated?
Many parts of the body are suitable for nano-needling.
Popular areas are the face, neck, décolletage
How often can you have nano needling?
As nano infusion is gentler than micro needling, this means that it can be performed every one to two weeks. Microneedling, on the other hand, can only be performed once every four to six weeks.
This is because this is how long it takes your skin cells to perform a full turnover cycle, and a full cycle must be taken to protect the integrity of the skin’s moisture barrier and to see full results from the microneedling.
Nano infusion is also safe to perform between microneedling treatments, as it's so gentle. This makes it perfect for extending that plump, hydrated glow!
Pre & Post Care
The great thing about nano needling is that it’s incredibly gentle and requires no downtime, meaning your routine need not change.

You can return to using your usual skincare products after nano needling however to be extra safe, we do recommend taking a few minor precautions to give your skin the best chance possible to recover and give you the youthful, bouncy glow that you’re searching for!

If your skincare products contain high concentrations of enzymes, acids or high doses of retinoids, we recommend setting them aside for 3-4 days before and after nano needling.
This minor precaution will ensure that your skin is not irritated.
