Skin Boosters
Unlike dermal fillers, skin boosters are used to hydrate and improve skin quality and texture rather than volumise. The treatment will target dehydrated, dull or rough skin, improving brightness and overall tone and texture. The product is a non-cross linked hyaluronic acid gel that allows smooth administration of micro injections underneath the surface of the skin. The non cross-linked technology allows the injections to be administered superficially, without creating lumps. Skin Boosters have a high concentration of hyaluronic acid as well as a combination of antioxidants, amino acids, vitamins and minerals all of which are naturally present in our skin, thus allowing new collagen formation boosting the radiance of skin and prevention against premature ageing.

What are Skin Boosters?
Skin boosters, also known as micro filler, is an injectable treatment that hydrates, nourishes and rejuvenates the skin preventing premature skin ageing, restoring skin density, quality and glow. Common treatment areas include under eyes, around the mouth, hands, neck and décolletage.
Benefits of the skin booster treatment:
-
The dermal fillers used are very fluid, so the final result is smooth.
-
With the production of new collagen and elastin, patients can expect firmer and more youthful skin.
-
The treatment is suitable for most patients and skin types
-
Gold standard skin hydrator for radiant and glowing skin
Who can have this treatment? What results can be expected?
This treatment is suitable for all patients who are not pregnant or breastfeeding. It is recommended for patients who want to improve the overall quality and the degree of hydration of their skin.
The skin booster treatment is not intended to fill lines and wrinkles. Instead, it is to hydrate the skin and promote formation of new collagen and elastin in the long term. Patients notice a more dewy and firmer appearance to the skin and more of a ‘glow’ as a result.
The skin booster treatment works exceptionally well at enhancing the results of other treatments and can be added to most services at Pure Beautification. We recommend adding a skin booster session to:
How is treatment performed and what does it feel like?
Skin Boosters are applied via microinjections into the treatment area, which means that it is injected with an ultra-fine needle. Skinboosters are offered with lidocaine in its formulation, which can provide a numbing affect to prevent pain during the injection process. Additionally, patients can have a topical numbing cream (anesthetic) applied to the treatment area prior to treatment in order to prevent any potential discomfort. I believe I am a gentle injector who is committed to the comfort and satisfaction of all of my patients.
What type of dermal fillers are used in Skin Boosters?
Please note that the actual names of the fillers used cannot be mentioned here due to TGA restrictions.
The dermal fillers that are used in skin booster treatments are non-cross-linked fillers. Cross-links are bonds between the chains of molecules that form the dermal filler. Dermal fillers without cross-linking are very fluid and less viscous and may be suited to skin injections. Unlike cross-linked fillers, they produce no lift. Therefore, they also produce no lumping in the final result (although there may be some temporary small lumps visible initially after the treatment). The fillers are injected into the papillary dermis where fibroblasts are housed. Fibroblast stimulation by injection of the filler causes new collagen and elastin formation in the skin.
How long does it take for skinboosters to work?
For most patients, results from Skinboosters will be apparent right after treatment, though some patients may also observe mild swelling or redness at or near the injection site. Results will continue to improve over the next several days, and optimal results generally appear after the second or third treatment session in a treatment plan.

How long do Skinboosters last?
Once patients undergo 2-3 treatment sessions, spaced about a month apart, they can enjoy incredible skin hydration and rejuvenation for up to a full year. However, as results tend to reach their optimal peak at around the six month mark, most patients will engage in maintenance treatments every 4-6 months in order to ensure continual nourishment and skin elasticity.
Are there any side effects to Skinboosters?
The side effects to Skinboosters are typically mild, and include redness, swelling, and occasional bruising on or near the injection site. In order to avoid any bruising, we recommend patients abstain from using any blood thinning medications (such as Aspirin) for the week prior to treatment. If patients do experience any swelling, redness, or bruising in the treatment area, these symptoms will dissipate naturally over the course of the next few days.

FAQ:
01. What are Hydration Boosters?
Hydration skin boosters are a non-surgical cosmetic treatment designed to improve overall skin quality, deliver intense hydration, and stimulate collagen production to create smoothed and tightened skin. Skin boosters contain hyaluronic acid, hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance in our bodies. As we age, our body struggles to produce a high enough amount, causing our skin to sag and wrinkles to appear. Hyaluronic acid is the best substance for skin boosters as one of its most beneficial factors is its ability to hold 1000 times its weight in water. Skin beauty booster treatments can significantly boost hydration, improve skin smoothness by eliminating texture, restore skin elasticity, and reduce fine lines and wrinkles. Skin hydration injections can be used across the face, neck, décolletage, and hands, targeting a large skin area in one treatment. Hyaluronic acid skin boosters are ideal for individuals looking for complete total skin rejuvenation, quality improvement, and plump, hydrated skin, rather than restore volume to specific areas, which dermal fillers are designed to do. However, skin boosters can be used with dermal fillers, depending on your skin concerns and what outcomes you wish to accomplish.
02. How long do Hydration Boosters last?
Skin booster injections can last between 6-12 months. Still, it will depend on the frequency of maintenance treatments, and dose used.

05. What is the recovery time?
Following Hydration Booster treatments, redness and swelling may last up to 24 hours. Some clients may experience bruising for up to 7 days, particularly around the mouth.
06. How do Hydration Boosters work?
During the treatment I the nurse will inject the skin booster into your skin using a fine needle. The number of injections and the amount of product used will depend on the treatment area and your individual needs. The main ingredient in skin boosters is a naturally occurring substance in the body that helps to retain moisture, and it plays an important role in maintaining skin hydration and elasticity. When injected into the skin, this molecule acts as a hydrating agent, helping to improve skin texture and tone by providing a plumping effect that can smooth out fine lines and wrinkles. The product also helps to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin in the skin, which can further improve skin quality and elasticity. The skin booster is gradually broken down and absorbed by the body. Results of the treatment typically last for several months, after which the treatment can be repeated if desired.
07. What is the difference between Hydration Boosters and Dermal Filler?
Skin Boosters are micro-injections of dermal fillers in the skin. Unlike traditional dermal fillers, they are not injected beneath the skin to volumise or shape the face. Instead, they are very fine dermal fillers that are injected into the skin to hydrate and improve skin quality. This type of dermal filler can be injected over large treatment areas of the face, neck, and hands to increase the skin’s hydration quality. During the treatment, the multiple injections activate the fibroblasts promoting new collagen and elastin formation. The result is healthy-looking, glowing, and plump skin. The skin booster treatment is not intended to fill lines and wrinkles. Instead, it is to hydrate the skin and promote formation of new collagen and elastin in the long term. Clients notice a more dewy and firmer appearance to the skin and more of a ‘glow’ as a result.
